The proper surface profile is crucial to the bond of a Thin-set Terrazzo Floor or any other epoxy type flooring. Without the correct preparation, delamination may occur or cracks that may have otherwise gone unapparent could telescope through your terrazzo topping after installation. To obtain maximum bonding and avoid unnecessary cracking, a concrete substrate should be prepared by shot blasting in accordance with ICI Guideline No. 03732 or by scarifying to the same standards to achieve a CSP3-CSP5 profile.
