Terrazzo Flooring
Terrazzo flooring is a poured-in-place system featuring three main components—an epoxy matrix, aggregates, and divider strips—ground down to a high-gloss or matte finish for a seamless, jointless surface. Because it’s poured rather than installed as individual tiles, terrazzo has no grout lines to stain or wear down, and a properly installed system commonly lasts the lifetime of the building with minimal maintenance. Its durability and design flexibility make it a common choice for high-traffic commercial spaces, including airports, schools, hospitals, hotel lobbies, and office space.
Terroxy Resin Systems is a complete line of resin products built specifically for terrazzo and resinous flooring installations. It constitutes a full system, from substrate prep to top-coat protection, including primers, anti-fracture membranes, sealers, and pigmented epoxy matrix. The epoxy matrix can be color-matched to any fandeck or printed color reference, giving designers full control over the finished look rather than being limited to a fixed color range. Because each component is engineered to work together, Terroxy systems add durability and crack resistance to resinous and terrazzo flooring while simplifying sourcing. Easy-To-Maintain
Terrazzo flooring systems require simple cleaning and maintenance. Daily maintenance includes dry mopping or cleaning with a neutral cleaning solution. Incorporate periodic deep cleaning and sealing into your maintenance schedule to protect against difficult to remove stains and to keep the terrazzo floor looking new.
Cost-Effective Flooring Solutions
Consider the lifecycle of an average commercial flooring system. During the lifetime of a building, the total cost of flooring may exceed 35 times the initial cost. With terrazzo flooring systems, floors will typically last the lifetime of the structure.
