Showroom FAQ

SHOWROOM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A FABRICATOR?

Fabricators are specialized subcontractors who utilize specific processes and equipment to create the finished, final installed countertop. They provide their labor and time to template, cut, fabricate, and install the slabs you select in our showrooms. If you are working with a trade professional, such as a general contractor, interior designer, or architect, they may already have a specialized fabricator they utilize to cut their slabs.

IS A FABRICATOR NEEDED TO PURCHASE MATERIAL FROM T&M?

Yes. Do not worry if you don’t have a fabricator assigned to your project; we can recommend a local fabricator to help assist you with your quote. We do not provide installation services or pricing for your project.

HOW DOES PRICING WORK?

Your fabricator will provide final pricing on all materials. As mentioned, they price out labor and time to template, cut, fabricate, and install the slabs you select in our showrooms. The materials in our showrooms and warehouses use a scale of 1 to 10 to illustrate the cost associated with that specific material. Our showroom representatives will work closely with you during your appointment to help clarify any pricing questions.

WHAT TYPES OF MATERIAL DO YOU CARRY?

T&M is proud to source the highest quality natural stone secured from quarries around the world. Our diverse stone team has established generational relationships with quarry owners for over 75 years, providing us 1st selection of the highest quality stone blocks.
These include marble, quartzite, granite, soapstone, limestone & specialty stones. We also supply engineered slabs, or manufactured, featuring quartz, porcelain, and our Precioustone Collection. We carry premium hard surface brands, including DIFINITI, Diresco, Antolini, Vermont Danby, and more.

WHAT IS YOUR MATERIAL HOLD POLICY?

  1. Confirmation Deadline: Orders or holds must be confirmed within 10 days of the material being placed on hold. For materials “pre-held” against incoming shipments, this 10-day period begins upon arrival, at which point we will promptly notify you. If confirmation is not received, the material will be released.
  2. Non-Refundable Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required by Day 20 of the hold period. Failure to pay the deposit will result in the release of the hold/order.
  3. Standard Hold Period: Once the deposit is received, the order can be held for a maximum of 30 days from the order date
  4. Extended Storage Option (with Fee): If you require storage beyond the initial 30-day hold period, we offer an extended storage option for a fee. Please note that this storage fee is a separate charge and will not be applied to your material invoice.
  5. Maximum Storage Duration: The maximum total storage period for any material, including the initial hold period and any paid extensions, is 6 months from the original hold date.
  6. Returns: All returns are subject to a minimum 10% restocking fee.

IS AN APPOINTMENT REQUIRED TO VISIT A T&M SHOWROOM?

We recommend scheduling an appointment at all our showroom locations, but it is not required to visit. Scheduling an appointment will help us allocate our resources to ensure you have the most pleasurable viewing experience. Saturdays are by appointment only.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We recommend bringing any available design elements, such as cabinet, flooring, and backsplash samples to help assist in selecting your slabs.

We have a strict safety protocol, and children under the age of 12 are not allowed into the warehouse under any circumstances.  Any children brought with you to the appointment must stay in the showroom, with proper supervision by an adult in your party.
